Step 4: Treatment Completion Letter to Physician

Choose File>Save and save the file with the filename:
RYP4-TreatmentCompletiontoDoctor.doc.

Customize the Template.

Open the downloaded document in Microsoft Word.
Customize the document to reflect your clinic identity by changing:
- Your Company Information.
- Phone and Fax.
- E-mail address.
Choose File>Save As to open the Save As dialog box.
Choose Document Template from the Save As Type drop-down list.
Click Save to save this customized template to your Templates Directory.

Create a New Patient Document

Start Microsoft Word.
Choose File>New.
Select the RYP4-TreatmentCompletiontoDoctor.doc template from the list of templates.
Click OK.
Word will create a new file using this template.
Enter your patient information into this new file.
In the space provided, list all the functional improvements that your patient has noticed since receiving your ART treatments.
Choose File>Save to save your changes.
Choose File > Print to print your letter.

Step 4 - Send a Treatment Completion Letter to the Family Physician!

Let the physicians see you successes! It will give them confidence in ART and your abilities to resolve difficult soft-tissue conditions!

You've treated your patient, resolved their problem, and now have one very happy person on your hands!

Now is the time for you to follow-up, and show your success to the patient's family physician. You have already sent a letter early in the treatment cycle, detailing your working diagnosis, listing the affected soft tissue structures, and summarizing the recommended exercises. (See Step1: Build Physician Trust.)

You also sent a complimentary copy of the book - Release Your Pain to this physician. With any luck, he or she has taken the time to read this book, and now understands what ART does, how it works, how you use it, and the kind of results you hope to achieve! They should now be familiar with the concepts and ideas behind repetitive strain injuries, cumulative trauma, and Active Release Techniques.

Its time for you to continue to build trust and confidence in ART and your practice. Let them know how well you have succeeded in resolving this condition, this step is critical!

First - open and review the sample letter (Acrobat PDF format) attached to this e-mail
Use this Treatment Completion Letter to:
- List your successful resolution to the problem.
- Provide a summary of the functional improvements that the patient has experienced!
- Remind the physician about the complimentary copy of Release Your Pain that you sent earlier.
  
  If they haven't already read it, this letter may motivate them to learn more about ART, and start reading!
Now that you have built trust, and demonstrated a proven ability to resolve difficult to treat soft tissue conditions, you can begin to ask for referrals from these physicians.

Remember, these family physicians share your goals, they want their patients health to improve. They are more likely to consider you as a resource if they know that you can help their patients, and feel comfortable with how you are achieving this goal.

The more often you communicate your positive results to each of these physicians, the more comfortable they will feel in trusting their patients to you, and the more referrals you will receive!

So set this system in place, try it out, and see for yourself!
